A Living Classroom

A field trip to Zoo Knoxville is an impactful way to teach concepts such as habitats, adaptations, classifications and predator/prey relationships and meet Tennessee state standards across the curriculum. Zoo Knoxville is an interactive classroom that engages students in STEM and cross-curricular learning, while bridging the gap between learning concepts and real animals and ecosystems.

Zoo Tour

Take your group on a zoo tour with a dedicated zoo educator. What better way to get interactive, learning experiences than straight from the experts who know what goes on behind the scenes! Learning Tours are $50 for groups up to 35 people. Our tours are 45 minutes in length.

Classroom Program

Meet some animals up close and personal! Opt to explore your educational topic in a zoo classroom setting with one of our educators and three of our ambassador animals. Classroom Programs are $65 for groups up to 35 and $85 for up to 60. Classroom programs are 45 minutes in length. Get a complete list of classroom program topics.

Animal Encounter

Encounter an ambassador animal with your group in an informal, educational session. Animal Encounters are $30 for groups up to 35. Encounters are 15 minutes in length. Please note that we limit group sizes to give each student a more personal experience. If your group is larger than our maximum, you may schedule a second class at no minimum charge.
